With our food supply, emphasis on diet and health and exercise habits, youd think Americans live longer than just about anyone else on the planet. Youd be wrong, though. The U.S. is 30, on the list, with an average life expectancy of 78.06 years. While the Mediterranean countries, France, Spain. Greece,Israel and even Jordan , who are less wealthy than america, has higher life expectancy. The difference that makes them live longer than us is simple, according to Dr. Abdallah Taha, author of The Mediterranean Farmer's Son's Diet.
